Nicholson Speedway was established  by Earl Nicholson, and began kart racing in 1962.  It currently is one of two asphalt tracks in Maryland.  The quarter mile road course offers racing to both 2 cycle and 4 cycle classes. We are an official American Kart Racing Association (AKRA) master track offering weekly club points racing.  Nicholson offers a very family friendly atmosphere with a great concession stand. We invite anyone interested in the sport to come out for a visit. We don’t have a rental fleet but surely can find a kart for you to test in.

Hours of Operations
Saturday – Gate opens @ 4:00pm – Practice to begin @ 5:30pm – Racing Starts @ 7:30pm “Under the Lights”
Sunday – Gate opens @ 8:00am – Practice to begin @10:00am – Racing Starts @ 12:15pm
Wednesday Practice – 5:00pm to 8:00pm (Minimum of 3 drivers pre-registered each session)
** Practice will be held on these dates: Saturday gates Open @ 2pm & Sunday after the races are finished **
